Old wisdom
A prayer for a quiet night
Compline asks for protection and a quiet night before sleep.

Compline, the last prayer of the day in the Christian tradition, asks for protection through the night and "a quiet night and a perfect end". Whatever one believes, research supports what it does: a regular, calming ritual before bed and a felt sense of safety lower arousal and make sleep easier.
About this pairing
Tradition pages are written with, and reviewed by, people from that tradition or scholars of it. They are offered as perspective, never as medical advice or prophecy, and in the app you only see the traditions you choose.
